My Trip To Goa

23rd November 2008,
Started on a Sunday morning, we reached Dadar station at 5AM. Our train was at 5.45.
We boarded the train and the journey was as beautiful as we imagined.

So after our little unplanned excursion to Goa we reached at Madgaon Railway station in South Goa.We had a booking in a guest house so the owner came to receive us at the station.
It all started with a 12 km ride to the guest house in a open gypsy in the green beauty of Goa. we went to Majorda Beach that evening near the guest house.

Next day was planned for North Goa in the same Open Gypsy. first we went to St. Francis Church in Old Goa and it was the first day of the series of celebration of St. Francis birthday.
One more Church and from there we went to Calangute Beach and believe me it was awesome.
Calangute is a happening place in Goa with elegant crowd, shopping streets and night clubs. We enjoyed some water sports and shopping. We went for a motor boat ride to see some dolphins in deep sea and during that ride we visited the Chapora fort where the famous 'Dil Chahta Hai' Scenes were shot. Then we proceeded towards a hilly point from where one can have a view of Goa.

Next destination was one more beach located near Miramar road Goa.
Now the best part of our trip came when we went to a Cruise in the evening.
We reached there at 7.00 PM and 7.45 was the scheduled time. We board the cruise with excitement and energy.

It was a 1 hour ride including some folk dances and DJ. It was a complete 1 hr fun and we enjoyed it to the fullest.
It was 8.45 PM we came back and started towards the guest house.
10.30 Pm we went to a resort for the dinner and enjoyed spending time there.
Day 2 was full of excitement, adventure and fun.
Day 3, our train to Mumbai was at 6 in the evening so we started our day visiting the beach in the morning and then we had our lunch in a resort cum restaurant. It was 2.30 PM still some time was there to leave for the station. so after taking the bath we again went to Majorda beach and spent time there roaming around.
At 4.30 PM we were ready to proceed to Madgaon station.

After a ride of half an hour in the same Gypsy ... 5.15 PM we were at the station...we took a round there for sometime and board our train at 6.PM
Soon we found ourselves in front of our flat and I had a long thought in my mind about the trip.
As every journey comes to an end so was ours but was a memorable one indeed :)

Time Pass - Really a difficult Job!

"Don't pass the time my dear ... pass something else"

These are the words of our Prof. M.H. Verma every time he listen to these words 'chal time pass karte hain'(lets do Timepass...)...Prof. Verma ...a different kind of personality altogether, it requires another blog to describe Prof. Verma...

Time pass is the word that is the topic of discussion in my flat...as almost everyone got placed.
I have ample amount of time to do nothing as such...no college for a week, every one who got placed ran away to home...we roommates are doing real hard work chitchatting even when nothing is there to discuss.
I lacked my leisure for UNREAL TOURNAMENT, in fact not only me but we all enjoy playing UT on LAN in our flat. These days this is the most happening thing in our schedule.

There are lot of game modes in UT but most enjoyable is the Death match...it's all about killing your opponents and the person who kills maximum within time limit set wins the game and when the competition is with roommates then the enthusiasm is maximum to win the game at any cost.

Believe me once you start playing this game...time would run like anything...
It is a real Time pass.
But One thing I must say...
'Sometime ... it's really difficult to do Timepass'

First Year of My MBA

This is all about first year of my MBA...
Before coming to the decision of taking admission in IBS, Mumbai I came here on 20th Feb 2007.
I came with my friend Mahesh who was working in Mumbai. First impression was not good because the campus was not that great and big. I talked to some of the students about the college and all that. Later after a long thought, I decided to go for it.
29th April I reached here (Mumbai), my friend Ajay came at the station to pick me up.
1st May 2007, our preparatory classes started.
Exactly after 1 month they reshuffled the whole batch and new sections were formed.
Then started the real MBA with assignments and presentations to be given everyday.
Accounts was one of the subject which every engineer was scared of !
But luckily I managed to clear the subject with decent marks.
First 2 semesters were really hectic in terms of subjects and also there was one important thing which made those 2 semesters so challenging.....Scholarship.
I had scholarship program in both 1st and 2nd semesters of my MBA...so everyone wants a piece of it in order to offload the course fee which was huge.
I managed to grab the scholarship in both the semesters...ek kaam to achha hua aur paise bache :) (at least one good thing happened with me).
During my 2nd semester, we shifted to our new campus at Hiranandani. The campus is awesome.
First year was interesting in terms of masti (woh sabse pehle hona chahiye...), in terms of work pressure and most important... learning.
I found MBA better from Graduation...no doubt graduation was important phase of my life...sabka hota hai shayad (its important for everyone I guess)...
MBA is more practical in all aspects...I learned a lot in 1st year of my MBA.
Its my 2nd year which is going on...now after placement I am a bit relaxed as hard work gets payed off I believe...
After 6 months or so I would be again going back to the same professional world...but with a different personality.

"U" Turn of My Life

Today....28th September 2008, its around one and half year since I left Infosys.
I got selected in ARANCA...A Financial Research Company.
When I left Infosys for MBA, I had one thing in my mind that I have to change my profile from IT to Finance.
After getting rejected in 2 hardcore finance companies, I was confused and nervous about getting into an finance company. But my preparation and luck met that day and I get selected.
Experience was quite good.....
It all started with a 2 hour test which luckily I was able to clear followed by 2 rounds of technical interviews.
It all payed off when the result came and my name was there amongst one of the four selected out of 170.
Feelings which came that time are something can't be explained in words.

I know one thing....that this is a "U" turn of my Life.

A New Year Gift

30th Dec 2005....Exactly after 10 days of my interview, 11 in the night and as usual I was checking mails.

Guess what.....the verdict came but this time it favoured me.
I got selected in the interview......It was the offer letter. I had to join on 16th Jan 2006 in Mysore.
It was a mixed feeling of joy and fear.
'Joy' because It was a dream come true like situation for me and 'Fear' because from last few months I was looking forward to go for MBA so the question that was bugging me was.. should I go for it or MBA is the better option.
I gave it a long thought the whole night & made up my mind and decided to to go for it but one thing I was sure that I have to go for MBA some or the other day.
Next morning I went to my Dad and told him about offer.
It was one of the best moments of my life......I was feeling proud while looking into his eyes.
After that series of calls started to congratulate me.
Suddenly the things around me took a U turn & I was feeling on top of the world.

It was a perfect 'New Year Gift' for me :)

Two Big Days of My Life

This is about the time when I had completed my graduation.

I got into 2 companies through my college but the strange thing was that no one turned back with the joining details.
That was the pressure time when everyone ask you the same question again and again!

one day ........ I think it was December 7, 2005...I was checking my mails....my eyes got bigger in size...mixed with joy and fear.

It was the call letter from the India's best IT company....'Infosys'.
while reading that mail, the kind of feeling that was going through was something can't be explained in words.
But their was a fear in the back of my mind, whether I would be able to perform in the recruitment process...

The big confusion was wheather to tell any one about that.....kya karein ye duniya badi zaalim hai yaar (this world is full of bad mans)

I did'nt want that....so I decided not to tell anyone.
Now the next problem was that I had to tell something to my parents as the interview was in Delhi.

Somehow I managed to convince them and went to Delhi on 17th Dec.
My uncle stays in Delhi only so I told some reason to them also as I had no Choice.

Too many things happened...when I reached Delhi , it was 10.30 in the night and I was on my way to my uncle's house My dear friend Puneet called from Mysore(He also joined Infosys 1 month back )....but the timing was perfect!

I thought ..kya baat hai sab log mujhe aaj hi yaad kar rahe hai (everyone was calling me during that time only).......

Finally the Day came...18th December.
I reached the venue well before time.

I appeared for the test, after that I met some of the ppl I knew as they were from my place...so we went to take a round of near by places while the result comes out.

Evening we were back to the same place.......the results were out!
Everyone was busy in finding his or her name in the list of 114 students (around 1000 appeared ) which cleared the test.

I started doing the same....believe me it was hard but no choice I had to do it......and guess what ?....It was my name at number 8 amongs 114 students.
Now the next day was going to be more stressful than this one.....the day of my Interview.

I went back to my uncle's house thinking that should I tell everyone about this.
But I decided to keep it with me for some more time.

Next day I reached the place on time, Mine was the 8th number in the interview and there were 6 panels sitting so I was the second candidate in the second panel.
My interview started.....there were two persons in the panel aging around 50-52.
The interview longed for 45 minutes and I was on my way back around 11 in the morning.
I took a ride first time in Delhi Metro to way back to my uncle's house.
Same Day I left from there to Noida where my friend Manish was staying.

I stayed there for a day and met few job consultants ...and then I left from there for my home.

Those two days of my life are memorable to me as hell lot of things happened.

Finally, I reached home sweet home...even then I thought its better to keep it with myself.

My First Words

This is my first post as a blogger.
I always think to write something one or the other day but because of the some or the other reason i could not able to do so......everyone thinks he is the busiest person doing lot of non sense stuff everyday.
Finally the day arrived and my first post is out.
My blog title is just expressing the things I always want to share with myself.
Something between me and myself ...!
I Hope that I will continue this conversation with me and keep bugging myself with my thoughts.

cheers!!!!
