Time Pass - Really a difficult Job!

"Don't pass the time my dear ... pass something else"

These are the words of our Prof. M.H. Verma every time he listen to these words 'chal time pass karte hain'(lets do Timepass...)...Prof. Verma ...a different kind of personality altogether, it requires another blog to describe Prof. Verma...

Time pass is the word that is the topic of discussion in my flat...as almost everyone got placed.
I have ample amount of time to do nothing as such...no college for a week, every one who got placed ran away to home...we roommates are doing real hard work chitchatting even when nothing is there to discuss.
I lacked my leisure for UNREAL TOURNAMENT, in fact not only me but we all enjoy playing UT on LAN in our flat. These days this is the most happening thing in our schedule.

There are lot of game modes in UT but most enjoyable is the Death match...it's all about killing your opponents and the person who kills maximum within time limit set wins the game and when the competition is with roommates then the enthusiasm is maximum to win the game at any cost.

Believe me once you start playing this game...time would run like anything...
It is a real Time pass.
But One thing I must say...
'Sometime ... it's really difficult to do Timepass'

First Year of My MBA

This is all about first year of my MBA...
Before coming to the decision of taking admission in IBS, Mumbai I came here on 20th Feb 2007.
I came with my friend Mahesh who was working in Mumbai. First impression was not good because the campus was not that great and big. I talked to some of the students about the college and all that. Later after a long thought, I decided to go for it.
29th April I reached here (Mumbai), my friend Ajay came at the station to pick me up.
1st May 2007, our preparatory classes started.
Exactly after 1 month they reshuffled the whole batch and new sections were formed.
Then started the real MBA with assignments and presentations to be given everyday.
Accounts was one of the subject which every engineer was scared of !
But luckily I managed to clear the subject with decent marks.
First 2 semesters were really hectic in terms of subjects and also there was one important thing which made those 2 semesters so challenging.....Scholarship.
I had scholarship program in both 1st and 2nd semesters of my MBA...so everyone wants a piece of it in order to offload the course fee which was huge.
I managed to grab the scholarship in both the semesters...ek kaam to achha hua aur paise bache :) (at least one good thing happened with me).
During my 2nd semester, we shifted to our new campus at Hiranandani. The campus is awesome.
First year was interesting in terms of masti (woh sabse pehle hona chahiye...), in terms of work pressure and most important... learning.
I found MBA better from Graduation...no doubt graduation was important phase of my life...sabka hota hai shayad (its important for everyone I guess)...
MBA is more practical in all aspects...I learned a lot in 1st year of my MBA.
Its my 2nd year which is going on...now after placement I am a bit relaxed as hard work gets payed off I believe...
After 6 months or so I would be again going back to the same professional world...but with a different personality.

"U" Turn of My Life

Today....28th September 2008, its around one and half year since I left Infosys.
I got selected in ARANCA...A Financial Research Company.
When I left Infosys for MBA, I had one thing in my mind that I have to change my profile from IT to Finance.
After getting rejected in 2 hardcore finance companies, I was confused and nervous about getting into an finance company. But my preparation and luck met that day and I get selected.
Experience was quite good.....
It all started with a 2 hour test which luckily I was able to clear followed by 2 rounds of technical interviews.
It all payed off when the result came and my name was there amongst one of the four selected out of 170.
Feelings which came that time are something can't be explained in words.

I know one thing....that this is a "U" turn of my Life.
